This place used to be split in two, as the Hotel Riu Costa Lago and the Hotel Riu Belplaya.
But for Summer 17 they’ve had a top-to-bottom refurb, and have joined forces as the ClubHotel Riu Costa del Sol.Location-wise, you couldn’t ask for much more.
The beach is right over the road, through the hotel’s palm-lined gardens.
And although it’s at the quiet end of Torremolinos, the centre is only a five-minute cab ride away.The ClubHotel Riu Costa del Sol has four outdoor pools, plus a fifth indoors.
There are a couple of smaller swimming spots for kids, too.
Dinner is a buffet set-up, and there’s also an Italian à la carte and an Andalucian restaurant where you can book in.
Drinks and snacks are served at the poolside bar, and there are four others to pick between at night.
You can try your hand at bowls* on the hotel’s neatly-clipped green, or play volleyball on a sandy court.
Massages* can be booked at the spa*, and there’s also a steam bath, a hot tub and a small gym.
