Built in 1908, Hotel Bel Soggiorno was one of Sicily’s first hotels.
And it claimed a prime location – the views take in Mount Etna in the southwest, the Bay of Naxos and the Mediterranean Sea.Verandas dotted with prickly pears are positioned to make the most of the sea views, and all rooms come with balconies or terraces overlooking the water.
This hotel is part of the Simply Travel collection until April 2017.
It will then join our Small & Friendly range – home to holidays with an authentic and intimate feel.Given its fantastic location close to the centre of Taormina, this hotel keeps things simple in terms of facilities.
That said, there’s a charming breakfast room serving continental breakfasts that set you up nicely for the day.
And when you get back in the evening, there’s a bar where you can unwind with a quiet drink.
